Destyne Miller is a director, actress, playwright, poet and educator.  She has a Master of Arts in Theatre from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Grambling State University in Louisiana.

She won Best Theatrical Performance at the 2016 Houston Fringe Festival with her original work, Worn Out Soles.  Her acting credits include Julius Caesar (Intrepid Fringe), A Seat at the Table (Fade to Black Play Festival) & Coyote on a Fence (Dirt Dogs Theatre.)

She began her teaching career in middle school where she taught for 7 years.  She was hired at George Bush High School in 2017 and is where she currently teaches. As a high school director, she has advanced to the UIL One-Act Play State Meet in 2017, 2018 & 2019, finishing in the 1st Runner-Up position. In 2022, she finished as State Champions with the Bush Theatrical Ensemble. She currently serves on the University of Interscholastic League Theatre Advisory Committee, Texas Thespians Board and previously served as Secretary on the Texas Educational Theatre Association Board of Directors.
